Sander earns second team honors

Piercy-Maze and Vaughn receive honorable mention

While finishing 0-10 in the Lakes Conference, the Estherville Lincoln Central Boys Basketball Team still had three players receive all-conference honors for their play this season.

Senior Izaak Sander was named to the second team while junior Octavious Piercy-Maze and sophomore Adrian Vaughn both received honorable mention.

Sander scored 130 points in league play, an average of 13.0 per game. He shot 45.9 percent (45-of-98) from the field, including 21.1 percent (12-of-57) from 3-point range. He shot 77.8 percent (28-of-36) from the free throw line. He also had 32 rebounds, 19 assists, and 13 steals.

Vaughn scored 112 points in conference play, an average of 12.43 per game. He shot 32.2 percent (37-of-115) from the field) and 36.4 percent (16-of-44) from 3-point range. He shot 88 percent (22-of-25) from the free throw line. He had 28 rebounds, nine steals and six assists.

Piercy-Maze scored 72 points, an average of 7.2 per game. He shot 33.8 percent (24-of-71) from the field, including 33.3 percent (6-of-18) from 3-point range. He shot 56.3 percent (18-of-32) from the free throw line. He led ELC with 49 rebounds, 23 assists, and 15 steals.
